Mental Health & Recovery Services RENEWAL Levy

The local Mental Health and Recovery Services levy is up for renewal on November 5th. This is NOT a new tax. It is a renewal with no tax increase. This levy costs $10 a year for a $100,000 home.


Levies funded $5,299,042 in services and programs for 2023. This 10-year levy brings in 32% of local funding. The community has generously supported its renewal since the levy was first passed in 1985.

Due to community support, lives are being changed. Keep us moving in the right direction by voting for the Mental Health and Recovery Services Renewal Levy.

This levy helps serve the mental health and substance use needs for the residents of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties. The MHRSB funds services in 33 school districts. We have a 24/7 Crisis Center to serve the community day & night. The local HOPEline crisis line is available 24/7 at 1-800-567-4673 (HOPE). These local services are for everyone.

Mental Health and Recovery Services Renewal Levy yard signs are still available at the MHRSB Office! Anyone in Allen, Auglaize, or Hardin Counties is welcome to a yard sign. Handouts are also be available at our office.


Pickup at the MHRSB Office is in the lobby from 8 am-4 pm. The MHRSB address is 528 W. Market Street, Lima, Ohio 45801. You can contact our office for any questions regarding pickups at 419-222-5120.

This October, we’re joining communities nationwide to raise awareness for Substance Use Prevention Month. Together, we can take action and create positive change.


Prevention goes beyond just stopping substance use. It helps reduce the progression of use and minimize the harm it can cause. Prevention works—decades of research and real-world experience prove it. By focusing on strengthening protective factors and reducing risk factors in individuals, families, schools, and communities, we create a healthier environment for all.


Locally, the MHRSB focuses on Prevention through knowledge and empowerment. We want to equip you with the information and tools necessary to prevent mental health challenges before they arise.


By addressing challenges early, we help youth and families thrive. Substance Use Prevention Month shines a light on how prevention is making a difference across the country.
