The Crisis Center brings together all of the services needed to provide quality crisis intervention services in a "one-stop" environment.

Services Include:

Medically Managed Withdrawal for Opioid and Stimulants

Crisis Hotline and Information and Referral at 1-800-567-HOPE – 24-hour phone access for Allen, Auglaize and Hardin counties staffed by mental health professionals.

Crisis Counseling – Mental health and addiction professionals staff the Crisis Center making counseling services available for those in need. The goal is to stabilize the situation and refer to the appropriate agency for ongoing service.

Screening and Crisis Intervention for Children and Adolescents – The Crisis Center provides a place for children and adolescents who are in a crisis. Some may be in need of referral to short-term inpatient care, crisis counseling, brief therapy or just linkage to the system of care.

Emergency Diagnostic Assessment – Availability of this service can save many days/weeks of waiting time for an individual in need of immediate care.

Access to “After Hours” Care for:

Families and Clients – The Crisis Center provides a place where families feel safe to bring their loved one who is in crisis, as well as to collaborate with treatment professionals in their care.

Law Enforcement – Many times law enforcement officers encounter people who need treatment and not court involvement. The Crisis Center offers a place where officers can bring individuals in need of care without the long waits that have been customary.

Persons in Crisis – Many people have indicated that they need a safe place to go when they are in crisis. Having such an environment enables many to stay at home and in the community.

Crisis Stabilization Unit – 8 bed unit that is designed to prevent hospitalization for those patients in psychiatric crisis who do not meet the level of care for inpatient treatment. This unit provides 24/7 nursing, psychiatry, individual counseling, group counseling, and case management.

Referral to Psychiatric Inpatient Care – After completion of a crisis intervention assessment and consultation with the Medical Director, a consumer may be referred to St. Rita’s Medical Center Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.   The goal is to use this option as the “last resort” and to improve an individual’s stability in the community before accessing this alternative.

Follow-up Care – All consumers who receive services at the Crisis Center get a follow-up phone call within 24 hours to ensure they have the information and support necessary for their recovery.
